|Customer Reviews for the ASL-2010.|

|I put up the ASL-2010 in the Spring of 2005. It has been working flawlessly ever since and is still going strong in October 2012. It survived a brutal ice storm a few years ago and also heavy wind that destroyed the yagis of a number of hams in Central Oklahoma. |
The antenna is easy to put on the air because there are no "adjustments" or "tuning". It is broadband enough that it works out of the box. Using this antenna I've been able to advance my count of DXCC countries worked and confirmed from 105 to 324.
I have not done any side by side scientific tests, but I'd say that the forward gain is "more or less" the same as seen of my old triband yagi. However, the beauty of the log periodic is that it works 20, 17, 15, 12, and 10 meters.

|My wife and I put this antenna together and raised the tilt over tower. Assembly was actually very simple once we had all the parts organized and inventoried, which I highly recommend. Be careful with the stainless steel clamps,I galled the threads on four clamps and they shorted me several as well. The performance is superb and side rejection is wonderful. I get great signal reports. This is my first HF beam and it most likely will be my last. My signal has been so good into the Eastern sea board, I have worked pile ups and busting pile ups is no problem, you get replies like "wow, what a strong signal" over and over. Working DX is a dream...if you hear them, you work them. If you want to be heard, get one of these. No SWR issues for my FT-950 whatsoever...100 watt output with the SWR being below 1.8 on all bands, no tuner! This beam has opened up an entire new world to me. The instructions are easy to follow. Thank you Cushcraft for great service and a great antenna. 73 KD5TN|R-9Vert, 9 HF BANDS,6,10,12,15,17,20,30,40,80M$639.95
