Customer Reviews for the XM-240.

From: Bill WR0F
We recently purchased a Cushcraft XM-240 .We was a previous owner of the Cushcraft 40-2cd 25 years ago and was very happy to see the big time improvements on the element brackets and the larger boom diameter 2 to 2.5 inches .
We adjusted ours for mid band and was happy to see a good swr bandwidth across the 40 meter band of less than 1.8 7.0mhz - 1.1 7.175 MHz - 1.8 7.3 MHz
It would be great if they would just give you the 3 actual lengths cw mid ssb of the outer tips instead of having to figure it out on your own with total length of elements .
We have ours mounted at 68 ft and see a nice difference over our 40 meter inverted v double bazooka at 50 ft on DX stations .The antenna has good front to back ratio and side rejection .

The xm240 has been up 2 weeks and knowing what we have seen we would definitely buy it again . It was a very good improvement to the station .
I did choose to buy the Super Heavy duty clamps from DX engineering for the mast pipe 2 inch and grade 8 bolts Parts listed on my eham review .
